The Downfall of Prince of Persia Franchise

Hello everyone how are you all? Today we are going to talk about some facts about Prince of Persia franchise that made it go out of the completion shortly, so let's don't waste the time a begin



We guys if don't know then the original Prince of Persia game was released in 1989 by developer Broderbund then they released one more game in the year 1993 titled Prince of Persia 2, this game didn't get good response from the gamers and after that the owner of Broderbund sold their game division to the Red Orb Entertainment and in 1999 ROE released the 3rd installment in Prince of Persia franchise named Prince of Persia 3D but unfortunately Prince of Persia 3D got such bad response and the developers got suffered from great loss and because of it now the game division sold out once again to the Ubisoft, now this was the rise of Prince of Persia franchise, Ubisoft released Prince of Persia Sands of Time in 2003, Prince of Persia Warrior Within 2004 and Prince of Persia The Two Thrones in 2005 and this time the trilogy got such great response from the people but in 2007 Ubisoft released the first Assassin's Creed that was supposed to be a Prince of Persia game, this game got such amazing response from the people because it was open world based RPG and kinda innovative in its time, also it sold around 11.24 million copies and that was great achievement for ubisoft but it did not then end of Prince of Persia Franchise, In 2008 and 2010 Ubisoft released two Prince of Persia games Prince of Persia 2008 and Prince of Persia forgotten sands but both of these games got such bad response from the gamers in compare of Assassins Creed game and sold only 15-20 lakh copies of game world wide that was such disappointing for Ubisoft and then Ubisoft released Assassin's creed 2 and around 11.13 million copies which were a great number in comparison with copies sold of Prince of Persia Forgotten sands and this was the down fall of Prince of Persia franchise
